About us

Our story

Founded in 2010, AVFC is the very first official veteran football club in the United States.

Atlanta Veterans Football Club is a soccer club based in the state of Georgia, USA, that competes in the National Veterans Tournament annually and in numerous regional tournaments. Founded in 2010, AVFC prides itself as the very first official veteran football club in the USA — and currently trains every Saturday at Compton Elementary School, also known as the ETIHAD.

We hosted the very first major NVT in 2016 here in Atlanta, GA, and have built a support system that prioritises its members above all. On the pitch we’ve lifted numerous trophies, the most recent being the Lions Indomptables Tournament. Off it, we run Valentine’s Day events with artists like Guillou and Moni Bille, and our highly anticipated annual weight-loss initiative.

Internally, the club stays busy year-round with the President’s Cup, regular training, and member-sponsored mini-tournaments — because the football is how we stay close.

For the game, for our opponents, and for the veterans and elders who built this club.

03
